British Columbian artist Terry Haines addresses his perspective as a gay, HIV-positive, non-status aboriginal in the midst of inadequate social support systems. Work selected for Art Star three is culled from his earlier work, The Aboriginal Video Quilt, a five channel video installation piece. Through symbols and face-to-face confrontation, Hayes addresses the issues surrounding him directly and candidly, allowing his personal experience to resonate.
