Morality vs. Art
The Sun, Feb. 25 Winter, 1984
One of the first shows in the newly refurbished Vancouver Art gallery was cancelled February 21 by director Luke Rombout. The show featured Paul Wong's video work depicting 27 people frankly discussing their sexuality. This occurred despite advertising from the gallery caling the show "provocative, entertaining, humorous, and moving." Potentially a challenging exhibition for Vancouver the director closed it down due to fears of alienating his audience.
