Machines in the garden: Interactive Video Art - Bringing Video To Life: La Technologie au jardin: La Vidéo interactive ressuscitée par l'art
Parallèlogramme, 1993, v. 18, no. 4, pp. 48-54
This article explores the versatile nature of video that allows for the combination of traditionally distinct media such as improvised music, electronic audio, animation and movement via sophisticated computer software programs. The goal of combining these media is here seen as a process to create a human-linked, electronic reality that opposes the mainstream scenario of video that mainly transmits commercial messages to the masses.
