Video Exhibition: Total Recall
Sarah Diamond and Gary Kibbins examine video as a socially conscious medium, tracing its relationship to documentary television and film-making. The accessibility of video allows for a more pluralistic form of documentary dissolving strict genre codes , mixing narrative, realism, experimental and appropriated elements. Playing with traditional codes allows the artists in Total Recall to challenge assumptions about representation and reality.
