A review of Vox Gallery's exhibition Awakening at their new location in the Marche de Bonsecours. Founded by an artist's collective in the mid-80's, Vox is best known as the inventor of Le Mois de la Photo a Montreal. Their opening exhibition, Awakening, is a three person show which deals with the theme of memory while experimenting with the boundaris picture plane. Mark Lewis two short films capture the Canadian landscape in different seasons while Isabelle Hayeur creates fantastical panorama prints mixing digital media with photography. Mary Kunuk psychologically autobiographical video piece explores the realm of dreams.
