An interview with Canadian film essayist Oliver Hockenhull on his practice and most recent film Building Heaven, Remembering Earth. Working in film since 1988, Hockenhull mediates the border between narrative and documentary style film (adopting a style quite different from mainstream cinema). Hockenhull describes on the differences and difficulties that he experiences as an intellectual film-maker in North America.
