Turning Television into Radio
Before and After the i-bomb, 2002, pp. 137 -159
Banff: Banff Centre Press, 2002
This essay blends Sherman's autobiography and personal experiences with the history of video art and its intersection with early television and 1950's radio-culture. Sherman suggests that "where television has overwhelmed and forged uniformity in the voice of the individual, video is rapidly turning television into radio, returning power to the individual." [Sherman; 137].
