Huston's article discusses sexploitation as a genre with an equation: female nudity, flimsy plot, comedy and/or violence. He talks about the current climate of the genre, that it still dominates cable t.v. and that 90s low-budget video production and consumption are steadily increasing. Huston raises the issue of hardcore vs. erotic and points out the elements of slasher, horror and action films ever-present in sexploitation. Ultimately, he writes, sexploitation goes for the vintage feel but still falls victim to old cliches and hence, is begging for a revamp.
