In the past, Aboriginal people were not allowed to own land or vote, yet they were allowed to fight alongside their non-Native countrymen in the Armed Forces. In this review of Loretta Todd's docu-drama Forgotten Warriors, author Gail Maurice highlights Todd's filmmaking and the story she tells, which exposes Canada's shameful history in dealing with Aboriginal veterans.
