A review of two Oppenheim multimedia installations. Search for Clues reconstructs "his vision of death as a dream of his seven-year-old daughter". (66) Amid a space that includes a floating oriental rug and a stabbed puppet, a monitor shows a knife being thrown into a revolving surface, accompanied by audio of a child droning incoherently about art, life, dreams, the knife, and, of course, her father's art. The imaginative work combines fantasy and family, creating an aesthetic order out of a gently unsettling scene.
