Festival the antidote to "image glut"
The Toronto Star, Apr. 3, 2008
A review of G.B. Jones' The Lollipop Generation as part of the 21st Images Festival. Goddard argues that the festival is not interested in a visual barrage but rather exemplifies cultural images and sounds that are not easily understood through mass culture. The Lollipop Generation, which explores the possibilities of the Super 8 aesthetic and runs 80 minutes in length, is a prime example of this resistance.
