This article describes the video and sculptural practices of artist Ryan Trecartin. As an artist that grew up in the Millennial Generation that feeds off of media pop culture and new technology, all of these elements converge in his work. The article sites Trecartin’s film I-Be Area to illuminate his works connection to other artists, his process of film making and characteristics/ trademarks of his art.
