This two-page exhibition essay visits the works of visual artists and filmmakers Hadjithomas and Joreige, as presented within the exhibit Videoworks: Wish we could tell. The remnants of history are a prevailing theme within the artists' work. This essay highlights concepts and ways that the artists investigate subversive, personal and unofficial histories of Beirut, Lebanon.
