We Are All Living With AIDS
In this exhibition catalog/manifesto, Catherine Saalfield discusses that ways that the Muu Media Festival, titled We Are All Living With AIDS, attempts to use media aggressively to reach the “general public,” a much more diverse audience than mainstream media considers it. The festival features 28 directors, using formats from the music video to the documentary, and aiming their work at demographics spanning social divides such as race, class, and sexual orientation. Saalfield’s goal is to bring AIDS education and the empowerment to put it to use to all of the diverse public.
