In her article Breaking Ground, Renya Onasik describes the potential for the use of video as an artistic medium. She reviews Prime Time Video an video art exhibition at the Mendel Art Gallery that fettering eight artists Elizabeth Chitty, General Idea, Stuart Sherman, Peter Lynch, Renya, Renya Onsick, Noel Harding, and Kit Fitzgerald. Onasick writes that these artists demonstrate that video can be used as a artistic medium. This show was important for Saskatoon because at the time, it yet to generate many art videos.
