Author Scooter McRae talks to director Adam Simon about his documentary The American Nightmare, made for the Independent Film Channel in 2000. The documentary is about the emerging horror cinema of the late 1960's and 1970's. Starting with Night of the Living Dead (1968) and ending with Halloween (1978), with Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) and Shivers (1975) thrown in.
