Afterimage, Fall 2004, v. 32, no. 2, p. 8
Seth Thompson pens a biographical account of Jud Yalkut's early life and its impact on the works of the pioneer in video art. Throughout Yalkut's career, the guiding theme for his aesthetics has been "spiritual transformation". It signifies his embrace of the counter-culture movement of the 1960s and resulted in many meditative installations and single channel works. Yalkut was also one of the first to embrace video technology as a filmmaker. His most notable collaborations include projects with USCO (The Company of Us) and Nam June Paik.
