An exhibition review of "Auto Emotion: Autobiography, emotion and self-fashioning" from The Power Plant, Toronto from summer 2007. The group of fourteen artist fashion performative video works on the "generative capacity of emotion, lending it fresh relevance in aesthetic production". Hyland notes a trend within these works to personal narrative within the out sourcing of instrumentalization by using other people as performers within the work.
