This article traces the beginnings of the Tariagsuk Video Centre, the first video access centre in the Arctic directed by a board of Inuit members and its objectives to give Inuit more opportunity to express their culture, language and artistic interests through the medium of video/TV. The article also includes the transcript of a discussion between Celina Uttugak, a participant in the Women's Video Workshop, and Madeleine Ivalu, the chairperson of the Naluat Women's Group.
