A critical review of Dawn Dedeaux's video and photography installation, Soul Shadows: Urban Warrior Myths, which was displayed in New Orleans, Los Angeles, and Rochester in 1993. The subjects of the piece are incarcerated juveniles, adults, and gang members, and are mostly black men.
