This article gives brief synopses of many of the video work shown at the 1984 Second International Festival of Video Art, which was organized by the SAW Gallery, in Ottawa. There are nightly programmes featuring work from West Germany, France, Canada, Quebec, and the United States. The article outline's Edward Mowbray's piece Excerpts and Euphoria, which uses old newsclips to explore the attempted assassination of Ronald Reagan. Canadian video artist Marian Barling's Paradoxical Puzzle is described in more detail as well.
