URA-ARU: The Acoustic Palindrome
Video Guide, 1985, v. 7, no. 4, pp. 10-11
Gary Hill talks about his own work in the article "URA-ARU The Acoustic Palindrome". Hill writes, "Each acoustic palindrome, which may be a single word caused by symmetrical phonetics, or two words, or in some instances a short phrase, combined with an image forms a sound/image construct or 'scene'." (10) Hill then enumerates and discusses details of three sound/image constructs: AME, OTAFUKU, and IKIMONO.
