Clay Cove, Newfoundland; Park Place, Vancouver

by Sara Diamond and Kate Craig

Video Guide, 1986, v. 8, no. 37/2, p. 5

A review of Kate Craig's multimedia installation, "Clay Cove, Newfoundland; Park Place, Vancouver," part of "Luminous Sites," a larger exhibition of Canadian video art in Vancouver. Craig installed her work--photographic, oral, and video documents of East Coast and Newfoundland culture--on the thirty-first floor of the Park Place office tower in Vancouver, with a view of the Vancouver Harbour. Taking in pleasant documents of the east coast, viewers were also presented with the likeness and difference between east and west coast landscapes and cultures.
