In Conversation: David Han, Samina Mansuri, Sara Graham
One Hour Empire, Summer 2010, no. 3, pp. 44-49
Sky Goodden and Rebecca Carson interview three artists exhibited in Empire of Dreams, a group exhibition at MOCCA. The artists discuss the origins of their work as rooted in issues of technology and its ability to interfere with how people relate to their environment. Inherent in this phenomenon is its effect on memory and our detachment from reality. The artists extend this technological occurrence to investigations of nostalgia, colonialism and trauma.
