Segue Ways: Everything In Its Time And In Its Place
Video Guide, Dec. 1988, v. 9, no. 45, p. 3
Jill Pollack reviews The Science of Fiction, a group video exhibit that took place at the Vancouver Art Gallery during the summer of 1988. Curators worked with a diverse selection of videos, ranging from Bill Viola's Anthem to televison spots for Chevrolet tires, and carefully edited them into a single program. Specific narratives arose from the careful juxtaposition of these videos, leading the viewer to pick up on certain subtexts which may not have been apparent in a different viewing context.
