The accompanying leaflet from Quickdraw Animation Society's screening of ELEGY:a meditation on mortality includes an artist statement from Sandra Vida and an essay by Cori Stent.In her statement, Vida describes how an encounter with physical injury led her to consider theories around the physical, social, and spiritual origins of pain. She also reflects uon the fragility (and resilience) of the human body and the process of mourning. Cori Stent expands upon how these ideas manifest themselves in Vida's ten-minute film ELEGY.. Sandra Vida's biography is also included in the leaflet.
