This article discusses the relationship between the interlocking systems of art, globalization and economics. In the past, artist have confronted the relationship between capitalism, corporations and art, however, a new approach which seeks to re-politicize the economy is employed by a new generation of artists. Melanie Gilligan's Self-Capital highlights the connection between the body and the economic system, it is represented as a unified whole in her video. The exhibtion TINA emphasized the belief in free market system as the only possible choice.
