Claire Hooper
Flash Art, Nov. 2010, p. 93
In this short interview, artist Claire Hooper discusses two of her recent video works, Nyx (2010) and Nach Spandau (2008). Nyx functions as a retelling of Greek myth with the Kurdish population of contemporary Berlin. Nach Spandau looks at subway stations at night, and how night alters underground urban spaces even though these spaces are permanently lit.
