This article looks at Yael Bartana's film trilogy, consisting of Mur i wieza (Wall and Tower), Mary Koszmary (Nightmares) and Zamach (Assassination), which were shown at the 54th Venice Biennale's Polish Pavillion. The film trilogy examines Jewish history in Poland, the recent resettling of the Kewish community in Warsaw, and Poland's relationship with Israel. The films often reference the aesthetics of political propaganda films.
