This article discusses Mapping Subjectivity: Experimentation in Arab Cinema, a three-month long programme which showcases avant-garde film and video work by Arab filmmakers from the Middle East and North Africa which has long been ignored by the Western world. Many of the older works have been restored by the curators, but programme features a number of contemporary works as well.
