This article reflects on the past and recent work of artist Slater Bradley. Bradley's work looks at the phenomena of celebrity, and shows how subcultures will identify with celebrities by using actors dressed up as celebrities. The article focuses on Bradley's recent piece Shadow, a collaboration with Ed Lachmann which references the death of actor River Pheonix.
