This article looks at how globalization has effected the production of art internationally, focusing on recent work by Middle Eastern artists. Lawn discusses this in relation to Murad Khan Mumtaz's All Debts Public and Private and Raed Yassin's The New Film, arguing that although globalization has caused an aesthetic homogenization, the content of these artist's works speaks strongly to their own voices and cultural backgrounds.
