Guy Ben-Ner
ArtReview, May 2011, no. 50, p. 121
This article looks at Guy Ben-Ner's miniretrospective exhibition Spies, consisting of three filmworks which investigate making art as a father, and how "practice coexists with private life and personal history." The works featured in the exhibition are Drop the Monkey, Stealing Beauty, and Spies. Spies, Ben-Ner's most recent work, is a video of Israel's Ministry of Tourism, accompanied by two narrators who debate the difference between tourists and spies.
