This article looks at Doug Aiken's Sleepwalkers, a video piece comprised of five different videos that were projected onto the Museum of Modern Art's exterior in the late evening. Each video depicts a different citizen of New York, each from a different borough. With these videos Aiken creates a portrait of city life in New York, depicting how the city cultivates the desire, and how its citizens project themselves onto its physical form.
