Perspectives: Negotiating the Archive

Breakell examines the contemporary interest in the archive and the numerous ways in which the single word is turned into different meanings. She examines this fascination within Western, Capitalist societies who, she believes, are flooded by information and 'stuff' and are becoming increasingly frustrated as it becomes more difficult to decipher what is significant and what is to be thrown away.
