This article gives an extensive account of the works of Carolee Schneeman by focusing on her less-recognized art. Analyzing them from a feminist perspective, Schneeman's works seem to celebrate female sexuality. Delving into the uses of Schneeman's works, we see that even her avant-garde pieces are political vehicles that impute societal structures based around repression.
