Canadian Art, Fall 2010, v. 27, no. 3, pp. 174, 176
Through his video installation Mirages, Lucha questions the possibility of ever accessing reality given the layers of mediatization that surround it. The mise en abyme display of the work emphasizes the fact that producing the right image is a means of control. Bock wonders if the desire to be immersed in an experience pushes us to the absurdity of replicating the reality of war into a fiction almost as "good" as the real thing.
