Ditmars Hadani interviews Tehran-born artist, Abbas Akhavan via skype to learn about the various projects he has conducted both in Canada and abroad. Akhavan talks about his interest in the domestic sphere, particularly in relation to time and place, and how those realities relate to issues of race and politics, specifically for individuals residing in the Middle East. His work ranges from video and painting to performance and installation.
