They Made a Day be A Day Here: Prairie Positive
Canadian Art, Jan. 16, 2014
Alison Cooley reviews the Amy Fung curated exhibition "They Made A Day Be A Day Here." The exhibition displays Fung's fascinations and entanglements with various artists she encountered during her time as a prairie art critic and fuses personal histories with cultural prairie lineage and the day-to-day messiness of the art scene with the comparative isolation of prairie geography. Fung injects elements of personal storytelling into her regional survey show, which Cooley describes as "both precious and ambitious."
