Neal Swettenham's account of the process by which playwright and theater director Richard Foreman filmed his video landscapes for the 2008 production Deep Trance Behavior in Potatoland, an experimentation of the relationship between the live performers and the dead screen designed to evoke a sense of the heavy materiality of human existence.
