This article is a review of the show bones kneel in company, which exhibited at Blink Gallery in Ottawa from August 8-18, 2013. The show was curated in a "democratic" manner and is loosely framed around the notion of temporality. The show included Juliana Pivato's single channel video work Trading Surfaces, in which Pivato sings the words of Rickie Lee Jones' 1979 song "Company" a cappella and out of order.
