Wavelengths and Future Projections
C Magazine, Winter 2012, no. 116, pp. 51-52
This short article is a review and exploration of the Toronto International Film Festival's art-house programs, Wavelengths and Future Projections. The author Sky Woodden begins the article by highlighting the distinction between theatre versus gallery shows, which is how the two programs are divided. Woodden briefly reviews a number of pieces that were shown in the 2012 Wavelengths program, focusing on film-based works, and then moves on to review the 2012 Future Projections programming, with special attention given to Chinese video artist Liang Yue and her three-channel work titled The Quiet Room.
