Intellect Ltd, 2012
This review of Anri Sala's 2011 exhibition at the Serpentine Gallery foregrounds the characteristic elements of his recent work that tends to assimilate film and installation into a single, choreographed event. Accordingly, Sala's work encourages active engagement on the part of the spectator as it cultivates an embodied experience that emphasizes the sense of 'presentness' inherent in the ephemeral nature of gallery exhibitions.
