Spaces video exhibits pair masterful Bridget Moser performances with moody piece by Jacob Koestler

The Plain Dealer

A review of two shows featuring video works currently at display in experimental artist-residency Spaces, in Cleveland, Ohio. Discussed are Canadian performance artist Bridget Moser's You've Opened That Can Now Let's Eat the Whole Thing, and Cleveland Artist Jacob Koestler's Casual Water.

Whereas Moser's work – which consists of two short videos and a 26-minute performance created during her two-month residency – is lauded for its playfulness, mastery in performance and comedic excellence, Koestler's work is critiqued as an overly complicated and self-indulgent endeavor.
