Catalogue accompanying the 1984 exhibition "Women & the Media" which showcased video works "united in their various attempts to exploit, subvert, and deconstruct the popular media in all of its forms- from television and advertising to printed matter, photography and film". The exhibition was on view at the Allen Memorial Art Museum at Oberlin College from April 18 to May 27, 1984. The catalogue includes a five page essay wherein curator William Olander discusses the role and power of media in culture and the program of videotapes. Catalogue also includes one black and white video still from each video in the exhibition and a selected videography and bibliography for each artist.
