In this article, Simonpillai provides us with a brief discussion with Night Raiders director Danis Goulet and other Indigenous filmmakers. It discusses how Indigenous filmmakers/storytellers take on Canada's genocidal history through their films and fight for their own values, with a focus on Goulet's dystopian residential-school allegory Night Raiders, just following its world premiere at the 2021 Berlinale.
