This curated programme by RM Vaughan is, as he puts it, "not intended to present [Canadian] history". He picked the works he liked and put them into a large programme of work spanning several decades and as much of the VTape video catalogue as he could. He then paired each recent video work with a work from that filmmakers past, or if the artist was no longer making work, the work was paired with something related.
The intention behind this method is to combat the overwhelming amount of work there is in Canada and the idea that fullness and completionism are the be all and end all of decision making.
