This catalogue accompanies the exhibition La Rábina, Soul of Conquest: An Anishinaabe Encounter, an immersive installation of Bonnie Devine's multimedia artwork along with a video co-created with David DeLeary. For this exhibition, Devine conducted extensive research on European colonization of the America's. Examining Indigenous and non-Indigenous primary resources, Devine investigates Columbus' landing with the aim to attend to the history of violence often omitted by European mythology. This catalogue includes details of Devine's research process and findings, and how they materialized into an exhibition.
