Reel Asian: Asian Canada on Screen edited by Elaine Chang is an anthology featuring film stills, conversations, and critical essays discussing Asian Canadian film and video. The book begins with an introduction by Chang unpacking the term 'Asian Canadian'. Chang introduces topics that are then continuously explored throughout the book, including, the history of Asian immigration and settlement in Canada; Queer and Asian exhibition and distribution networks; and a critique of Canadian multiculturalism, among others. Reel Asian: Asian Canada on Screen celebrates the work of Asian Canadian artists and explores how their work has been supported by art-run centres across the country.
