Métissages
Montréal: Centre de Sculpture Est-Nord-Est, 1996
ISBN 2-9801281-1-2
Catalogue produced in conjunction with Métissages, an exhibition created by Centre de Sculpture Est-Nord-Est in partnership with Optica Galerie. Métissages "is first of all a creative workshop that took place in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli in the summer of 1994. The initial idea was to invite artists from a diversity of origins, Métis, Aboriginal or Western, to work intensively in the same place, whose landscape is marked by the presence of nature and its proximity to the St. Lawrence River. The interweaving was done from the first moments of the development of the project, when the choice turned to two artists, themselves from a cultural mix, to act as curators." (Quote translated from page 9 of the catalogue.) The exhibition was on view at Optica Galerie in Montreal from January 11 February 17, 1996.
